I wish you a warm welcome to our website. I hope that the information contained in it will enable you to know better my country and the activities we are carrying out in Cuba, Jamaica and The Bahamas.

I would like to emphasize that I am very happy and honored to be serving as Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye in the friendly country of Cuba since April 3,2021. The Turkish Embassy in Havana was opened in 1979 and I am the twelfth Ambassador holding this position. Each ofmy predecessorscontributed to strengthening our relations and I would like to thank them for that.

I am also among the former members ofour Embassy. I served in our Embassy in Havana as Second Secretary for two years (from September 1994 to August 1996). At that time, we were not accredited to Kingston and Nassau, as it is the case today. Returning onceagain to the Caribbean after a quarter of a century, this time as Ambassador, is something exceptional that makes my task in this region easier.

I presented on June 23, 2021 my Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Cuba, H.E. Mr. Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez. I hope to presentthem in Jamaica and The Bahamas in the near future.

Despite the geographical distance between the two countries, the contact and relationship between our peoples is growing every day. In this context, I would like to refer to the excellent work of our global brand "Turkish Airlines" (THY) which also links Istanbul to Havana. After having to suspend its direct flights for fifteen months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am very glad that "Turkish Airlines" has resumed its Istanbul-Havana line on June 18, 2021.

One of our main objectives as the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Havana is to provide our services in a cordial and efficient manner with zero errors. In this sense, our doors will always be open to anyone who needs us. We also seek to provide the necessary support and service to every visitor in the best physical conditions.
